Dolphins Club News

The MTN Dolphin Club made it's first appearance of the season at the Southway Mall 'Under the Sea' Promotion on Saturday, 12th August. Surrounded by 'Under the Sea' artwork from Brettonwood High School and Grosvenor Girls, a Seaworld Display, theme dancers and a treasure chest competition, the four Dolphin players felt quite at home.

Ahmed Amla, Duncan Brown, Eldine Baptiste and Rivash Gobind signed autographs, promoted the club and chatted to 'Crazy about Cricket' Kids (see personality profiles below).

The next MTN Dolphin Club event will take place at Seadoone Mall, Amanzimtoti on Saturday, 2nd September. This will be followed by the 'Primary Schools Cricket Weekend' - the Club will be at Northlands Senior Primary at 1.00pm on Saturday, 16th September.

The Quadrangular Series at Kingsmead Cricket Grounds on Sunday, 1st October will be a biggie for the Club. So get your application form and R20 membership fee in to the KZN Cricket Union ASAP. Contact Sue Davidson on 332 97032 for more info.

DUNCAN BROWN: (Top Order Batsman, Wicket Keeper)
Date of Birth: 23/06/79
Natal Schools: 96/97
Selected to tour Australia this year with the Dolphins.

ELDINE BAPTISTE: (All Rounder)
Played 10 Tests & 43 one day internationals for West Indies. Also played in 1987 World Cup. Played for Leeward Islands in West Indies ,Kent & North Hamptenshire in UK & Eastern Province. Will tour Australia with Dolphins in September.

RIVASH GOBIND: (Top Order Batsman)
Natal Schools: 1998 & 1999
Chosen for SA schools XI in December. Contracted player this season & chosen to tour Australia in September with the Dolphins.
