Australian team all-rounder Ian Harvey is suffering from a shoulder problem
and could be rested from Victorian bowling duties in the initial stages of
the season.
Harvey, who played in Australia's brief ICC Knockout Trophy campaign in
Kenya, had an MRI scan on his shoulder last night.
He was included in a 14-man Victorian squad for Sunday's Mercantile Mutual
Cup match against New South Wales.
"It's been giving him a little bit of concern and he is no certainty to bowl
on the weekend," a Victorian team spokesman said.
"He might be a week resting, he'll be alright as a batsman but it might
affect his bowling."
Shane Warne reported no ill effect from his knee after yesterday's team
training session, and a final decision on his availability was expected
tomorrow.
Warne, who had minor knee surgery two weeks ago, bowled about 20 deliveries
and did some batting and throwing excercises.
