A delay caused by disagreements over final plans for the redevelopment of Headingley will mean that the work will not be finished in time for the Ashes Test in August.
Work on the West Stand, formerly the Western Terrace, will begin shortly, and is expected to be ready for the one-day international against Pakistan in June. Work on the East Stand will not now start until after the Test Match against Australia later in the summer.
The £10 million project is likely to start within a week, but some parts of the plan are now a year behind schedule.
