The ICC cricket committee will discuss the umpire review system, which was trialled in four Test series spanning nine months, and decide on its viability during its annual meeting at Lord's on May 11 and 12.
The system which gave players an opportunity to ask for a decision to be reviewed by the television umpire received mixed reactions. The other issues on the agenda are the feasibility of playing day-night Test cricket, steps at improving over-rates in international cricket and regulations governing bad light.
The committee will also consider the possibility of imposing limits on the weight of bats, the effects of double-sided bats and unorthodox shots like the controversial switch-hit on the game. The relevance of ODIs with the advent of Twenty20 cricket, and possible ways to preserve its popularity will also be up for discussion.
Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd will chair the meeting, which will be attended by several other former cricketers and officials including Mark Taylor, Ian Bishop, Dave Richardson - ICC's general manager for cricket - and the umpire Simon Taufel.
