Following their 74-run victory over Bangladesh, Ireland have earned the right to a place in the ICC's ODI Championship.
The rules of the Championship state that an Associate will qualify after two victories over Full Members and also when they have played ten or more games against Full Members. Ireland have beaten Pakistan and Bangladesh in the World Cup, as well as tying with Zimbabwe.
Ireland's name will appear on the official rankings table after their final game in the Super Eights on Wednesday. They join the ten Full Members and Kenya in the Championship.
