Rawalpindi, Oct 30: Pakistan captain attributed the series victory to
team effort while his opposite number Nasser Hussain said he was
disappointed with the result after having secured a 1-0 lead.
Moin said he was delighted because the boys showed consistency in
their performance and bounced back to break the 26-year-old series
drought.
"We were focused and determined to do well. Although we lost the
opener, I was pleased with the performance of the boys because the
result was because of factor which has already been highlighted," Moin
said in his post-match conference.
Nasser Hussain said he was disappointed because the batsmen didn't get
enough runs in the last two matches. "I think had we scored 200, we
would could have made a match out of it. But we didn't play our quota
of overs.
Hussain complimented the Pakistan spinners saying they were world
class and showed their prowess, adding that if his team has to excel
in the Test series they needed to learn the art of playing them
quickly.
Hussain, commenting on the tear gassing which twice halted play, said:
"It wasn't bad for a long time but that was uncomfortable for eyes and
nose. It didn't affect the outcome of the match in anyway."
