Karachi, Feb 12: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday
dismissed accusations that it was breaching the contract it
signed with its major sponsors of the forthcoming home series.
Zahid Bashir, marketing consultant of the PCB, said the board had
not violated any contract while removing the sponsor's
announcement board just outside the National Stadium premises.
"We have everything in writing. That place was not for the
sponsors," he said.
The representative of the sponsors had claimed on Friday that
they were being denied of their right. "We respect our sponsors
and not here to harass them. We are looking forward to a
prosperous relationship with them. And for that the PCB will
extend them full support," Bashir said.
According to the terms and conditions of the contract, the
sponsors are not entitled to fix their series announcement board
outside the National Stadium.
