Pakistan: Gujranwala take 3 points

Karachi, Nov 1: Gujranwala claimed three points after taking first innings lead over Karachi Blues in the drawn Quaid-i-Azam Trophy National Grade-I Cricket Championship match at the Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala on Wednesday.

According to details available here, Gujranwala amassed a mammoth 557 on the fourth and final day of the match in reply to their opponents' 462. Skipper Majid Saeed scored his second successive century in two matches. He made 124 off 189 balls with the help of 15 fours and a six.

Opener Rizwan Malik, who was batting on 127 in the overnight score of 273 for two, was finally out for 156. He faced 460 deliveries and hit 17 fours.
