Lahore, May 27: The Blues beat the Greens by five wickets in the first match of a practice series held between the probables of the National Under-15 training camp at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
The camp is in progress to pick Pakistan Under-15 team for the Asia Cup to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next month.
Batting first the Greens scored 138 for four in 40 overs. Kashif Mahmood (33), Mohammad Faheem (27), Adnan Raza (26) and Adnan Zaheer (22) were the key scorers.
For the Blues, Akbar Ali and Suleman Shakeel took one wicket each for 19 and 18 runs, respectively. In reply, the Blues hauled the target for the loss of five wickets in 37th overs. Masood Asim (25), Shahid Yousuf (21) and Fahad Iqbal (18) were the main contributors.
Duo leg-spinner Yasir Shah and Azhar Ali took two wickets each for four and 10 runs, respectively.
