Karachi, Sept 21: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ad hoc committee
has constituted a four-member election committee which has been
assigned to carry out country wide scrutiny of clubs and then hold
elections.
Brig Salahuddin as been appointed chairman of the panel which also
include Jamil Rana (LCCA) as convener and Maazullah Khan (Peshawar)
and Saud Gohar (Balochistan) as members.
The committee has been given five months to complete their task. The
panel will resume their work from the five associations that have been
restored by the PCB.
The committee will also consider the scrutiny of clubs conducted in
1994-95, Javed Zaman Khan, member of the ad hoc committee said.
"The committee will, in fact, update the report because we believe
clubs have increased in the last five years. As soon as the updating
is completed, elections will be held so that one of the jobs given to
the ad hoc committee is completed," he remarked.
