Sydney Womens Grade: Bankstown Under-18s lose final

Unfortunately the Bankstown Sports under 18 side lost the final to Hornsby last Saturday when they capitulated for a meagre 75 despite some defiant batting from the talented Maria Bayan who notched 27. Sports tried valiantly to get back in the game courtesy of some lively pace bowling from consistent Meghan McNally who snared 2-26.However Hornsby eventually gained the ascendancy and batted well to reach 5-126 and clinch the title. It was still a great effort from the fledgling Sports players to make the final and they will be all the better for the experience.
