New Zealand v Bangladesh, 2016-17
Wisden's review of the third Twenty20 International, New Zealand v Bangladesh, 2016-17
Corey Anderson, playing with the freedom of someone hammering tennis balls from the sand to the surf, hit ten sixes in a format best 94* off 41 deliveries, and helped complete the limited-overs whitewash. He put on 124 with Williamson, eclipsing the New Zealand fourth-wicket record set by Munro and Bruce in the previous match. Bangladesh had moments of control, and were 80-1 after eight, but Soumya Sarkar's departure, via a return catch to Ish Sodhi, was a tipping point. Later, Sodhi's googly bamboozled Mahmudullah, which seemed to sow uncertainty in the rest.
