Ngarava, Bennett and Musekiwa set up thrilling Zimbabwe win

Chasing 145, Musekiwa kept his cool as Zimbabwe got over the line off the final ball

Zimbabwe 145 for 6 (Bennett 49, Myers 32, Naveen 3-33, Rashid 2-26) beat Afghanistan 144 for 6 (Karim Janat 54*, Mohammad Nabi 44, Ngarava 3-28) by four wickets
A 13-ball over from Naveen-ul-Haq and a dramatic final over in which Tashinga Musekiwa found the boundary and sprinted between the wickets gave Zimbabwe a thrilling last-ball win in the opening T20I against Afghanistan.
With Zimbabwe chasing 145, frugal spells from Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan and a four-run 18th over from Mujeeb Ur Rahman brought the equation down from 60 off 42 balls to 21 off 12. But Naveen's final over went for ten, and Azmatullah Omarzai's changes in pace and length could not defend ten in the final over.

Hardik, Meriwala combine to knock out Bengal

Shahbaz Ahmed waged a battle with the bat in a tall chase but ran out of partners in the end

Baroda 172 for 7 (Rawat 40, Rajput 37, Pramanik 2-6) beat Bengal 131 (Shahbaz 55, Meriwala 3-17, Hardik 3-27) by 41 runs
It was a tale of two birthday boys in Bengaluru. Baroda's left-arm quick Lukman Meriwala celebrated by nabbing three top-order wickets in the same over, before Bengal allrounder Shahbaz Ahmed kept his side alive with a half-century in the chase of 173. Shahbaz ran out of partners though, and Baroda beat Bengal by 41 runs to book their place in the semi-finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Bengal were off to a steady start with 28 runs on the board after three overs, before Meriwala's dream over. He had Karan Lal chopping on for 6, trapped Sudip Kumar Gharami lbw for 2, and took a stunning return catch to dismiss Writtick Chatterjee for a duck.

Harpreet Singh and Venkatesh Iyer's big hits helped Madhya Pradesh chase down 174 against Saurashtra with four balls and six wickets to spare in Alur. MP entered their first Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy semi-final since 2010-11.
Player of the Match Venkatesh ended on 38 not out off 33 deliveries with the bat, after taking 2 for 23 from three overs with the ball. Harpreet, on the other end, batted more aggressively in his nine-ball cameo to finish on 22 not out to seal the game for MP. But before they added 29 to wrap the chase, Arpit Gaud (42 off 29 balls), Subhranshu Senapati (24 from 16) and captain Rajat Patidar (28 off 18) kept MP on top.

All-round Linde, Miller give South Africa 1-0 lead

In a chase of 184, Rizwan was on 36 off 44 at one point. He finished with 74 off 62 but couldn't prevent the 11-run loss

South Africa 183 for 9 (Miller 82, Linde 48, Shaheen 3-22, Abrar 3-37) beat Pakistan 172 for 8 (Rizwan 74, Ayub 31, Linde 4-21) by 11 runs
Having not played for South Africa for three years, George Linde made up for lost time on one electric Kingsmead evening with a stunning all-round performance. A 24-ball 48 with the bat and 4-21 with the ball battered a valiant Pakistan, who went down by 11 runs. The umpire even thought he had a hat-trick in the penultimate over before a review denied him that glory but not his undisputed Player-of-the-Match award. Mohammad Rizwan, who faced the first ball, was there in the final over as his team went down fighting, a late attack from the captain not quite enough to undo the damage of a sluggish first half of an innings where he managed just 36 in his first 44 deliveries, even if he did finish with 74 off 62.
South Africa came into the first T20I in Durban with a decidedly second-string side, but it doesn't matter when David Miller is in the form he found today. A majestic 40-ball 82 ran through the first innings like a dagger for Pakistan, who believed they had made early progress when Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed removed Rassie van der Dussen, Reeza Hendricks and Matthew Breetzke early. But Miller ensured the runs kept flowing, and Pakistan's spinners couldn't have the impact they hoped for on a true, flat Durban pitch Heinrich Klaasen had little hesitation in opting to bat first on.

South Africa 358 and 317 (Bavuma 66, Markram 55, Jayasuriya 5-129) beat Sri Lanka 328 and 238 (Dhananjaya de Silva 50, Maharaj 5-76) by 109 runs
South Africa have moved to the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) table after a 109-run win over Sri Lanka at St George's Park. They swept the series 2-nil after bowling Sri Lanka out for 238 in 69 minutes on the final morning with the second new ball still 10.5 overs away.
Keshav Maharaj completed his tenth Test five-for, and fourth at St George's Park, and took four of the final five wickets on the last morning. Sri Lanka lost five wickets for 19 runs in 62 balls in a lower-order collapse that undid their work from the previous day. They were fairly well set overnight and resumed on 202 for 5, with two batters well-set on a fairly placid pitch. Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva's sixth-wicket partnership was worth 83 and they both looked comfortable against a South African attack who admitted to searching a little too hard on the fourth day.
