29.5 to C Carmichael, Edged and taken! Good length ball around the probing channel, Carmichael moves across the line to play inside the line of the ball, stuck in the crease and plays off the back foot, missed the length of the ball, extra bounce off the pitch and nicked through to the wicket keeper. 151/2 48.3 to LJ Tucker, King has taken a blinder! Off-cutter ball darted wide outside off, Tucker attempts to clear the fences over long on, mistimed the slower delivery with the inner part of the bat, King sprints to his left side near the ropes and catches the ball; as he loses his balance, he tosses the ball inside, goes outside the ropes, and jumps back in to make an incredible grab.. 292/5 48.5 to GH Dockrell, Slower delivery does the trick, again! Change of pace slower bouncer darted outside off, Dockrell goes for the big heave shot and hits it flat towards deep mid wicket, a straightforward catch for Evin Lewis near the ropes. 293/6

43.2 to A Balbirnie, Balbirnie has holed out! Change of pace delivery wide outside off, clears the front leg and bends down inside the crease, extends his arms and clips it away over the covers, deep extra cover settles underneath and completes the catch.. 249/3 47.3 to HT Tector, Catching drill for Brandon King! Another slower delivery does the trick, widish slower delivery outside off, tries to clear the in-field, mistimed the aerial cover drive and blasted it straight into the safe hands of Brandon King at the edge of the circle. 286/4

22.1 to PR Stirling, Chase finds the breakthrough! Looped up fuller length ball down the leg-side, Stirling follows the line of the ball and charges down the track, whips it away with intent to clear the square leg fences, did not time it well enough to clear the ropes, finds Motie near the ropes at deep backward square leg area. The Irish skipper has to depart after scoring 54 runs.. 109/1 |

6.6 to KU Carty, Chipped in the air and swallowed by Josh Little at mid-on; on a length, fierce bounce and middle-stump line, tries to lift it away from the fielder but shimmies across a touch and plays a nothing shot in the end. 20/2 8.4 to BA King, BA King bids adieu, sent back to the hut with a cracker of a delivery that rose sharply in the hot zone outside off and he went poking at it, big edge and taken, Ireland have got off to a sensational start and West Indies are already in dire straits. 29/3 8.6 to AA Jangoo, Skids through from a fuller length and holds its line, looks pretty adjacent and plumb, umpire raises the dreaded finger, he shuffled across, came in front of middle stump, failed to nudge it away and Jango has to take the long walk back to the pavilion, nightmarish start for the visitors. Ireland bossing the game now. 29/4 34.1 to MW Forde, Easiest of catches at mid-on! Launched straight into the sky and miscued it completely, shortish delivery around the line off, labored pull and Josh Little called it early and settled under it. Ireland have won by 124 runs, massive feat!. 179/10

9.4 to SD Hope, Just wow, stumps shattered, what a sight. Pitch-perfect dream delivery for any seamer. It landed neither too short, nor too full, zinged back sharply and went through the gate to rattle his stumps. Mayes bowls a ripper and West Indies are staring into the abyss, five down in no time! What a celebration, he is all fired up. 31/5

14.1 to JP Greaves, Wafting and edging and going back to the dressing room! On a length and a nagging off-stump line, tries to clatter it away and doesn't account for the angle and nibble, frustrated stroke and gobbled in the slip cordon, West Indies find themselves in a rut, sorry looking scorecard, no real resistance. 71/6

31.6 to RL Chase, Forces him to lunge at it and he was guessing which way the ball is going to spin, arm ball kept going on with the arm, he plays down the wrong line and the ball disturbs the furniture. Marvelously bowled, extra zip and floated fuller, making him play, got the prized scalp and broke the threatening partnership[p. 169/7 33.1 to AS Joseph, Makes an impact straightaway, continues to produce magic. Settled into his rhythm in no time, bags his second. Another beautifully tossed up delivery, zeroing in on the stumps, he steps back and gets an under-edge, drags the ball back onto the stumps and now the resistance from WI is melting away quickly. 171/8 33.5 to G Motie, Given some flight and plenty of width, he takes the bait and larrups it down the ground, pouched comfortably by the fielder at long-off. Excellent spell of bowling, he's doing a stellar job in wrapping up the tail as WI inch closer to a massive defeat. This was given extra bit of flight and his eyes lit up, wanted to hit a few out of the park instead of dying wondering and didn't want to just hang around. 179/9 |
