7.32pm RCB have been handed a 118-run thumping by a superb Sunrisers Hyderbad. There was not much of a contest after the opening partnership between Messrs Warner and Bairstow, and it never really got any better for them with the bat either. Nabi was outstanding with the new ball, and the pressure just kept accumulating with each wicket that fell early. RCB were 35 for 6 at one stage, and from there on the only question was whether they would last the 20 overs. They nearly did

Virat Kohli tells the broadcasters: "Probably our worst loss ever. Difficult one to explain. We were outplayed in all departments by a quality side. This showed why they are former champions and finalists. (Different things they could have tried) We could have tried different things, like bouncers. They batted really well once they got in. Few of the edges fell into vacant areas. Brilliant to sustain intent for the first 16-17 overs. We've thought about (scoring runs in the early overs) but I feel myself at 3, and AB and me batting together brings us more balance. We still have 11 games, and things can turn around quite quickly in this league. We have to capitalise on that in the next games. (Against Rajasthan next) When things don't go our way, we will have to find ways of winning moments. You need to start well, and the next game should be that game for us."

Jonny Bairstow is the player of the match Maddy : "Bairstow won by 1 run. "

That's that from this game, which has further dented RCB's chances of catching up with the rest of the pack in this year's league. Goodbye for the moment from Varun Shetty, Chandan Duorah, the rest of the ESPNcricinfo crew and myself. How good were Bairstow and Warner tonight? And how well did Sunrisers' utility player Nabi bowl? We've got you covered with all the game's talking points.

Shankar to Siraj, (no ball) OUT

one of the two players is run out! It was played towards covers, and the fielder fired a quick return back to the bowler. He whips the bails off, and CdG's bat is in the air! He also got rid of Siraj at the other end, but sadly only one of those will count. Sums up RCB's evening, though. Nothing has gone right from the first ball itself this afternoon

Colin de Grandhomme run out (Kumar/Shankar) 37 (32b 3x4 2x6 61m) SR: 115.62

Afnan Murshed: "What an incredible return for Warner, coming back to IPL after a whole year and scoring 3 consecutive 50 plus scores including a brilliant 100. While striking over 170. Absolutely brilliant. Watch out for Australia when Warner returns."

Saravanan: "@Rohan: I know u r sarcastic der but just think of the situation if that no ball was called and who knows?
