9.45pm: A crushing victory for Superchargers in the end, who break the hold of Edgbaston in this competition - and it was a vital one, only their second win, and it keeps them just about in contention for the knockout stages. The Adams, Lyth and Hose, did the business with the bat, while David Wiese played an important cameo and then picked up excellent figures with the ball. Phoenix suffer only their second defeat of this year's Hundred, but have lost some ground in tussle with Oval Invincbles for third spot, behind London Spirit and Trent Rockets. Anyway, that's enough for tonight. Join us again tomorrow for more 100-balls action. Bye!

David Wiese is the Match Hero: "[Death hitting] Sometimes it works out for you, kind of what I've been working to do all tournament, come in and capitalise at the end. It's about confidence, if it's in your zone you have to back yourself to clear [the ropes]. We said we've given ourselves some hard work to qualify for the playoffs, want to keep the momentum going now and hopefully we can sneak into those spots."

A word with Faf du Plessis, too: "We needed that, we lost three on the bounce and needed that momentum change. Good for confidence. Needed it in terms of defending as well. When one side is small, push it as wide as possible even if you bowl a couple of wides. [Moeen dismissal] Mo's a quality player but he likes to get his hands going. Pace off on that wicket, it stops a bit. Thought we were under [par], but wickets bring you back into the game. David Willey went bang-bang and we felt we were ahead. Wiese has been really good all round, good to see him consistently performing. DJ Bravo does what he does best, whatever side you need him to bowl. We've played good cricket, let ourselves down with some catches. Tight games that we've lost, and put down guys at crucial times. Small margins, need to take chances against good players."

Raine to Tahir, SIX runs

flayed over deep backward point for six! Tahir finishes with a strike rate of 600, but Superchargers walk off with the points. First ever home defeat for Phoenix in the Hundred

Imran Tahir is the last man in

W
Raine to Helm, OUT

bowled 'im! Helm is well across his stumps and Raine fires it full behind the legs, rattles the poles. Picks up a wicket at the end of an expensive outing

Raine to Helm, (no ball) FOUR runs

slow, loopy bouncer...honked through backward point! Helm had to wait an age for it to arrive, then slugged a tennis forehand to the rope. And it's a no-ball on height, too!

97
1
Raine to Kane Richardson, 1 run

fired in full and straight, 78mph, slogged along the carpet down to long-on

96
2
Raine to Kane Richardson, 2 runs

slower ball from round the wicket, clothed down the ground... Wiese can't quite get there running in from long-off! Top effort with the dive, though

Kane Richardson heads out, Wiese on a hat-trick

92
W
Wiese to Brookes, OUT

off stump flattened! Perfectly pitched slower ball and Brookes misses it completely, the ball spinning through to hit the target. Phoenix eight down, the jig almost up

Henry Brookes b Wiese 0 (1b 0x4 0x6 2m) SR: 0

Henry Brookes in to bat. Supers have been told they must have an extra man in the circle now - not that it'll matter

91
W
Wiese to Howell, OUT

pace off and slogged leg side... taken in the deep! Howell had to go for it and swung a fair old hit out towards the long boundary. But Miles was running around from deep midwicket and took it well

Benny Howell c Miles b Wiese 22 (18b 2x4 0x6 29m) SR: 122.22

Supers are a minute away from the cut-off, so are going to be penalised. But Phoenix almost need six per ball from here anyway
