Five Test wins in a row for West Indies, Fazeer Mohammed says on TV commentary that it's the first time since 1988 that West Indies have managed to achieve that. Although this run has come against New Zealand, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Easily done in the end. The first innings was well fought, but Sammy changed things for his team from 150-odd for six with that counter-attack. And Shillingford did the job with the ball in the second innings. Zimbabwe were impressive in bursts, but couldn't sustain that for an extended period of time. West Indies go 1-0 up. Abhishek Purohit has it all in his day's report. There will be a presentation ceremony shortly, so we'll get you the details from there in a bit.

Taylor: "It was a tough Test. We let ourselves down on the first day, only getting 200 was disappointing. If we had got 300 it could have been a different game. Not a lot of positives apart from Kyle Jarvis. Mawoyo did bat well but there were a few of us who got starts but didn't carry on. We've got to find a way to combat the spin and their three-pronged pace attack. It would have been nice to have had another seamer, but one of our strike bowlers, Cremer, wasn't at his best. But he'll come back. Considering Jarvis struggled in the one-dayers, I am very pleased for him, it is nice to see him swinging the ball again. We hear it spins a bit more in Dominica, it'll be challenging."

Sammy: "We did exactly what we wanted to do, win our fifth Test in a row, everybody played their part really well. The batting coach Ratford and I have been doing a lot of work, changed my grip a little bit. Ramdin batted well on his birthday, Marlon as well, we looked at the pitch and said anything above a 100 runs as lead would do. I am an attacking batsman by nature, I got a few loose balls and I put it away. Yesterday, it wasn't about survival, but sometimes I might have to restrain myself. Shillingford has been continuing the form he is in the first-class season, Powell took five bat-pad catches. We have a chance to make it six in a row, something that hasn't happened for over 20 years."

Shane Shillingford is Man of the Match:"I played a couple of matches in th first-class season here, and I got wickets here, so I gave it my all. It's always good to come back and play for West Indies. I tried to bowl a consistent line first up and then try to spin as much as possible and try to bowl in good areas. I trust in God, and we'll see what happens in Dominica."

That is all. Thanks for tuning in and sending us your feedback. The next Test is on the 20th, so we'll see you then. Take care, goodbye.

Jarvis to Gayle, 2 runs

there it is, short of a good length and he played that a little awkwardly, guiding it past gully for a couple of runs to complete a comprehensive win

4.5
Jarvis to Gayle, no run

ooh, yorker length outside off and Gayle failed to dig it out, it shaped away and he played inside the line to that one

4.4
1
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, 1 run

drags that one from wide of the off stump to play it past mid-on for a single

4.3
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

dropped it short outside off and he leaves that one alone to the keeper

4.2
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

well fielded by the man at extra cover, Ervine, cracked off the back foot towards him but he dives full length to his left to save a boundary

4.1
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

too wide from Jarvis, not called by the umpire, Bravo lets that one go through

in the channel outside off and he leaves that one alone to the keeper

3.2
Chatara to Gayle, no run

short of a length, chops it down towards gully, can't get it past the fielder there

3.1
Chatara to Gayle, no run

short of a length on the off, punched from the crease to mid-off

Welcome back, it could just take one ball from here to finish things off. Chatara to bowl, Gayle to face

Calvin: "In any case, it was a matter of application from the Zimbabwe batsmen. Imagine what it would have been had they posted 300+ in the first innings and at least 200 in the second. Brendan Taylor disappointed in this match. He was failed with the bat and also persisted with Cremer who leaked many runs. Overall there were glimpses of hope from the Zim performance. I hope they come back strongly in the next match."

Imran: "I get the feeling that a lot of people are very protective of statistical integrity, and don't want to diminish the value of runs/wickets/victories achieved at test level by diluting it more with weaker teams. I don't really buy this attitude, it goes on anyway, and true cricket fans will always have endless debates about the value and validity of what the stats say, even now, so let's just accept that and open the doors to more test playing nations."

That's lunch, it makes no sense to go for a break with just three runs remaining. Forty minutes of wait for three more runs. The umpires may have a point, though, having already delayed the break by 22 minutes. Join us at 1.00pm See you then.

2.6
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

missed, tried to go for the pull to finish it off that delivery but missed, short outside off and it went through to the keeper on the second bounce

2.5
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

went for that, pitched up and he mistimed an attempted drive towards mid-off

2.4
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

dropped it short outside off and Bravo lets that one go through, evades that one

It makes no sense to take lunch even if West Indies don't score this over...

2.3
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

he's left that one alone, in the channel outside off and he sees it through to the keeper

2.2
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

shortish on middle, tries to turn the face and gets a bit of a leading edge in front of point

2.1
Jarvis to Darren Bravo, no run

swinging in towards middle, gets forward and across and pushes it back to the bowler

The last over before lunch. If they end up getting just two off the over, and the umpires take lunch, won't it be farcical?
