Gavaskar in BCCI committee to probe Sidhu affair
Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jagmohan Dalmiya said in Calcutta on Friday that the cricket body has constituted a three-member committee to probe the the circumstances
surrounding the abrupt exit of Navjot Singh Sidhu from the
Indian team during the recent tour of England.
The committee comprises of Raj Singh Dungarpur, in the chair,
Sunil Gavaskar and Jy Y Lele, who will be the convenor.
Dalmiya indicated that the committee had been empowered to
summon any individual it might think necessary, including any
and all members of the Indian team that toured England, in course
of its enquiries.
No time frame has, however, been fixed for the committee to
submit its report.
