ICC sends message of condolence to family of Sheikh Maktoum

ICC President Ehsan Mani today sent a message of condolence to His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the family of the late ruler of Dubai, His Royal Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who died earlier today.
"On behalf of the International Cricket Council I send deep condolences to His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the family of His Royal Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum," said Mr Mani.
"It was with great sadness that we learnt of Sheikh Maktoum's sudden death today and our thoughts are with his family at this tragic time for Dubai and the United Arab Emirates."
"Dubai witnessed incredible progress under his leadership, including the development of a sporting culture that helped convince the ICC to relocate here last August and he will leave a strong sporting legacy."
The ICC office in Dubai will be closed for three days from Thursday 5 January to Saturday 7 January as a mark of respect for the late ruler who was also Prime Minister and Deputy Ruler of United Arab Emirates.
