Pakistan Association dominate on opening day of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2010

Pakistan Association have dominated on the opening day of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2010 after scoring victories over Vagabonds CC and Little Sai Wan CC. Individual highlights from the first day's play included a brilliant 102 from 52 balls by Nizakat Khan from Little Sai Wan CC and an unbeaten 93 from Pakistan Association's Imran, while Tabarak Dar, Dwight Johnson and Munir Dar also notched up half centuries. Another impressive cameo came from Vagabonds CC's Shahbaz who scored a sublime 39 off just 11 balls, including 6 sixes.

Vagabonds won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 143 in 20 overs, Shahbaz 39 with 6 Sixes, Bobby 33, Amber Ali 19 & Zar Khan 15 runs. Imran 3 for 17 & Najeeb Amar 2 for 36 runs. Pakistan Association won the match in 14th over by 8 wickets with the all round performance of Imran who hit 9 sixes and 7 fours in his inning of 93, Najeeb Amar scored 19 and Hussain Butt 12 not out. In bowling Khalid Khan 1 for 24 & Zar Khan 1 for 21 runs.

Man of The Match: Muhammad Imran

Vagabonds again won the toss and elected to field this time and the decision seemed wrong very quickly when LSW ended up scoring 259 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. LSWCC have a very good start an had a 127 runs opening stand between Tabarak Dar 53 runs and Dwight Johnson 71 runs, then Munir Dar enters in the ground and he had a great knock by scoring 59 runs on 20 balls with 5 sixes & 6 fours, M. D. Khan 23 runs and Nizakat Khan 21 runs. Bobby 2 for 58 & Mohsin 1 for 36 runs. In reply Vagabonds Bundled out at 124 runs in 20th over. Bobby scored 28, Kashan Khan 22 & Mohsin 15 runs. Asif Khan 3 for 31 runs, Munir Dar 2 for 18 & Nizakat Khan 2 for 17 runs. Little Sai wan won the match by 135 runs.

Man of the Match: Munir Dar

LSWCC won the toss and elected to bat first and were all out in 20th over by scoring 189. Nizakat Khan become the hero of the day by scoring 102 runs on 57 balls with 10 sixes and 5 boundaries. Dwight Johnson scored 24 and Waqas scored 17 runs. Babar Hayat 3 for 16 & Adil Ahmed 2for 53 runs. In reply Pakistan Association started convincingly and won the match by 4 wickets. Najeeb Amar 58 runs with 6 sixes, Babar Hayat 41 runs with 3 sixes and 3 fours, Imran 22 runs and Ilyas Gull 22 runs not out. Munir Dar 2 for 23 & Asif khan 2 for 34 runs.
