All Premier Division cricket matches suspended
All Premier Division cricket tournament matches have been suspended
until further notice.
This decision has been arrived at following the enjoining order on
the office-bearers and officials of the Board of Control for Cricket

The Cricket Board's assignment secretary Fitzroy de Mel is reported
to have informed all the clubs yesterday that all matches have been
suspended because the Board will not be in a position to take
decisions in case some issues crop up regarding the matches.

Three amendments adopted at BDCA AGM
V T Raj
All members elected to the Badulla district Cricket Association
(BDCA) except for the treasurer should have at least played school
cricket. This was one of the amendment, unanimously adopted at the
last annual general meeting of the association held at the Simon
Pieris Hall, presided by its president Mr. S. Chandramohan.
The other two amendments unanimously adopted at this meeting were:
the president elected could hold office only for two years if
re-elected and cannot seek election for the third year; the number of
vice presidents should be increased from 2 to 4.
Accordingly messrs A.H.M. Aleem and M. Huzair had been elected
additional vice presidents at the first council meeting of the
association held at the Old Duthians Club hall recently.
