Stephen Fleming will know more today about his immediate cricket
future.
The Black Caps' cricket captain was ruled out of last night's one-day
match against India with a groin injury, and some reports have
suggested he might be out of action for four weeks if a scan shows it
to be a deep-seated tear.
Fleming is more optimistic and was hoping he would be back before the
end of the one-day series.
The next match against India is in Wellington tomorrow, before the
sides play in Auckland on Saturday, and Christchurch on Tuesday.
Fleming had a scan in Christchurch yesterday and was hoping to hear
more today.
The Press talked to him between innings at last night's game as he
was settling in to watch the Indian batsmen chase New Zealand's
target.
He had not caught up with the first innings, but was "surprised"
about the number of run-outs.
