12.5 to AI Ross, given. Ross' sweep doesn't work this time. Flat delivery on leg, Ross goes for the sweep but misjudges the length and the yorker spears through to hit him in front of leg.. 99/3 14.1 to TP Ludeman, Gayle takes the catch as Ludeman goes for 49. Fullish delivery outside off, Ludeman goes for a hard sweep but can only top edge it to short third man where Gayle takes an easy catch.. 107/4

11.3 to TM Head, Head holes out now. Goes for a pull off his second ball but doesn't get close to enough. The ball lobs up off the pull and Bravo takes another easy catch at deep square leg as Renegades make their play for a comeback. 91/2

1.1 to TLW Cooper, what a beauty first up. The length ball on off stump nips away late, Cooper walked across to flick but was completely squared up, only managed to get a thin edge through to the wicketkeeper. Strikers couldn't have asked for a better start to the second over. 27/1 14.4 to NJ Rimmington, full outside off, he swings across the line, can only get the thinnest of edges as the catch is gleefully accepted by the wicketkeeper.. 141/9
2.3 | 0 | 29 | 1 | 11.60 | 6 | 2 | 2 | 0 | 1 | |
15.3 to CJ Gannon, slower one on off, he looks to go over cover, can only hit it as far as the fielder at the edge of the circle. The Renegades' campaign comes to a grinding halt, while Sydney Thunder are through to the semifinals. . 143/10

3.3 to CL White, what a ball. Gets a bit of drift away, pitches on off, spins back in sharply, White prods outside the line, ball sneaks through bat and pat to hit middle stump as the zing bails go flying.. 60/2 3.4 to DJ Bravo, and he doesn't last long. Bravo is completely deceived in flight, fails to get to the pitch of the ball as he looks to go inside-out over cover, misses and the bails are disturbed. Strikers are back, and how! Have we ever had a manic four-over passage such as this in the BBL so far? Me thinks not!. 60/3 5.3 to CH Gayle, looks to muscle that over midwicket, was cramped for room, managed a top edge that was swirling for a long time over the wicketkeeper's head, but Ludeman ran back, kept his eyes on the ball, called clearly saying it was his and pouched it safely. Gayle walks off to a massive reception. Have we seen the last of Gayle in this year's BBL?. 74/4

9.1 to TM Beaton, cracking delivery, one that every left-arm spinner will be proud of. This one drifts back in from wide of the crease, pitches on middle and skids on, he looks to make room and ease it to the off side but fails to get his bat down on time as the zing bails fly again. The Renegades are starting to disintegrate now, the campaign is right on the edge. 94/6 9.6 to CP Tremain, swung across the line, doesn't get hold of it and the fielder at deep midwicket runs around to complete a good catch. Didn't get to the pitch and dragged it to the man who made it look so easy. 97/8
3 | 0 | 21 | 1 | 7.00 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
8.3 to BR McDermott, fetches the slog sweep from outside off, gets hold of it well but finds the only man at deep midwicket. The intent was right, but the execution came a cropper. He was better off looking to cut or going over cover.. 92/5 |
