Evin Lewis is the actual man of the match for 55 off 23 balls. "Very good wicket, get the chance, capitalise... I backed my skills. On the big stage I try to keep it simple and do the best for my team and myself".

Right, that'll do for tonight. From Sreshth, Miller, Venkat and the team, thanks and goodnight!

KL Rahul "Bishnoi has a big heart, he's a fighter for a little guy, shows the character he has to bounce back [from the last game] with a wet ball. Really happy for him, he wants to grow, wants to learn, and good to see that. And Badoni, I'd seen a few videos, when you only get to see the good shots, but the way he's been batting is phenomenal. Strong, 360-degree player, a great find for India and an asset for white-ball cricket. In these conditions you give yourself an over or two, capitalise on the powerplay, and a right-left [partnership] has advantages. Quinny in good form, batted beautifully. Lewis has worked hard on his batting, his timing has got better. Seeing so many players in form puts a smile on a captain's face."

The Power Player of the Match is Robin Uthappa for 45 off 21 balls, while Evin Lewis is winning every other award going. There are rather a lot of them these days... Dushmantha Chameera bowled the fastest ball of the match, which is some consolation on a tough night for him.

11.45pm Back in a moment for the presentations. Here's confirmation, from Ask Cricinfo, of the highest run-chases in IPL history. The new boys are a new entry in at No.4

Samrat Ahuja: "Another close man of the match call here, Bishnoi having bowled 4 overs for just 24 runs in a 11 runs per over match, or Lewis for a fantastic innings when it looked that chase was out of reach of LSG!! " Bishnoi made a huge difference on a batters' night.

11.40pm Here's Quinton de Kock: "Unbelievable. Good for team's morale, great win. Came out fighting, to come out on top is very special. We thought we could chase down 210, after first two-three overs we could see it was a good wicket, to get it done was well done for us. Nice to get out and just bat, wasn't in too much rush, knew it was a good enough wicket, and nice for other boys to get out, and Evin played a hell of a knock, so did the youngster. 210 was always going to be a close game but the boys were quite calm. To get it done is a hell of a job done."

Sampath points out this is the first time Chennai Super Kings have lost their first two matches of an IPL season. They have previous for coming back from adversity though...

Dhoni (not the MS one): "Poor captaincy and bowler management from Jadeja, should have kept atleast one over of bravo or pretorius for the last 2. Could have bowled Moeen ali instead with the long midwicket bondary. Had sent in a comment earlier around the 12-13th overs saying Moeen ali must have bowled an over threw with 2 lefties. Instead pretorius continued with deshpande. A longgg way to go for jadeja as a captain"

Pranay: "I had not expected the place I would reach on clicking your Lucky Dube link, even in my wildest dreams. "

11.36pm Well, that was a bit of drama to get the Brabourne rocking! It was slipping out of LSG's hands until Dube took the penultimate over... a gamble given how tough the conditions had made it for the fingerspinners, but it backfired badly. Here's Jaddu ...

Ravindra Jadeja: "We had a very good start, but in the fielding you have to take catches to win matches. We could have taken those chances. There was a lot of dew, the ball was not sticking to the hands, will have to practice with the wet ball. We batted brilliantly in the top six, the wicket was good to bat on, as a bowling unit we have to execute our plans."

1
Mukesh Choudhary to Badoni, 1 run

length ball, hoisted high out to midwicket! Jadeja runs round but can't reach it as it plugs in the deep. The fourth-highest chase in IPL history, and what a statement from the new boys!

19.2
Mukesh Choudhary to Badoni, no run

cuffed off the back foot, off the toe of the bat, but straight at mid-on... not yet...

19.1
6
Mukesh Choudhary to Badoni, SIX runs

spanked over backward square, and the scores are level! Sits up from back of a length, swivels into the pull and over the fielder's head. Massive chase!

19.1
1w
Mukesh Choudhary to Badoni, 1 wide

a gallop down the track, an attempt to react, and speared down the leg side. The wheels are coming off now!

Utsab : "OMG. What a decision it turned out to be. Feel for Dube. Difficult time to bowl." Unlucky Dube, you might say... the lucky version is here

19.1
1w
Mukesh Choudhary to Badoni, 1 wide

whoops, a rank wide, and the equation is down to eight

Cripes. That's changed things somewhat...

driven, inside out, over long-off! A 23-ball fifty from Lewis, and that was a throw-down from Dube! In the slot, slammed with a full face!

Dube to Lewis, FOUR runs

belted up and over long-off! The worm has turned in dramatic fashion! Another length delivery, from round the wicket, in the arc and dispatched again!

18.4
4
Dube to Lewis, FOUR runs

pongo-ed through the covers! I wonder if Jaddu or Moeen might have been a better bet after all. A non-descript length ball, no pace, or lack of pace. Just dobbed, and flogged!

18.3
2
Dube to Lewis, 2 runs

round the wicket, length ball, angled into the bat, an open-faced slash from Lewis, and Dube gets away with it... off the toe of the bat, and it plugs out of the reach of deep backward point

18.2
1
Dube to Badoni, 1 run

smashed out to deep cover, solid connection, but that's a win for CSK this time

18.2
1w
Dube to Badoni, 1 wide

better from Dube... no, a late call from the umpire! Swinging away on a wide line, and though Badoni throws his hands at the ball, it's the wrong side of the line!

18.2
1w
Dube to Badoni, 1 wide

width, too much width!. This is a suboptimal start to the over

18.1

Dube to Badoni, SIX runs

down on one knee, and lumped over square leg! That's a huge hit, sweetly timed, from outside off on a full length, and it hits a girl on the head in the stands too... she seems fine, but that was travelling!

Dube is the man for the penultimate over... interesting. His first of the night. Moeen and Jaddu kept out of the firing line. What can he leave Choudhary to defend?

Deepankar DM : "5 sixes would do nicely here.." That would be handy. And with the West Indian Lewis at the crease, I suspect he knows it too. It's how they tend to roll...

chopped out to deep cover, a decent end to Bravo's spell.

bangs in the bouncer, a flashing pull, a bit of excitement from bowler and keeper, but mostly to blag the non-wide. It doesn't work...

171 wickets and counting.... Which, coincidentally, is also the score...

Siddharth: "Woah...that boundary must be really long. Watching live, I was sure he had nailed that. "

17.2
W
Dwayne Bravo to Hooda, OUT

slower ball, low full toss, launched to the leg-side ... into Jadeja's hands! It was high, it was handsome, but it didn't have the legs it appeared to have. And Bravo is the leading wicket-taker in IPL history!

Dwayne Bravo to Hooda, SIX runs

crushed down the ground! It's a length ball, with a bit of pace, and high over the sightscreen! Hoo-da-man indeed!
