Fortuin seals it with a boundary! Phehlukwayo floated up a full one, and Fortuin slammed it straight back at him, beating the bowler and the boundary fielders to end the game with a boundary
Blitz vs Rocks, 11th Match at Paarl, MSL 2018, Nov 25 2018 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Rocks won by 5 wickets (with 7 balls remaining)
6.48pm So, Paarl Rocks prevail in the Cape derby. Cape Town Blitz won all of their games leading up to this one, while Paarl were still searching for their first win. No doubt invigorated by the return of their Protea players, Paarl's bowling attack did very well to keep Cape Town to just 140, with left-arm spinner Fortuin starring with four wickets and Dane Paterson picking up 3 for 23. Dale Steyn dented their chase early, but Faf du Plessis marshalled his middle order, adding 67 with van Jaarsveld and 38 with Mosehle to guide the chase. Cape Town just didn't have enough on the board, and Paarl sealed their win in front of a packed home crowd.
"It's a good feeling to get a first win under the belt," says Player of the Match Bjorn Fortuin. "I felt like we owed it to the fans, to the management, and also to ourselves. As a team we need to continue this momentum and build on this. From a personal point of view, I'm just trying to put in the best performances I can."
"It was good to be playing here, a great crowd at the stadium today," says Paarl Rocks captain Faf du Plessis. "We just tried a few different things. [Mzansi Super League] is brilliant for cricket in South Africa. This is going to fast track the domestic players so much. The exposure they're getting is awesome. And from a fan point of view, for the first time all our national players are playing domestic cricket together. T20 cricket is about momentum, and it was really important for us to turn the momentum around."
"The Paarl Rocks team were well prepared," says Cape Town Blitz captain Farhaan Behardien. "We never adapted quickly enough from being on the highveld last night to coming to a slow coastal wicket today. It's not a bad thing to taste defeat this early in the tournament, it gives some perspective. We don't have much turnaround time."
That's all from your commentary team tonight. Goodbye from me, Liam Brickhill, and my colleague Hemant Brar. Look out for Hemant's match report for any details you might have missed from this afternoon's game.
Mosehle dead-bats the ball to cover and they sprint through to draw level
Jay Deshpande: "Watching from USA. Hey guys, did you see that USA was recently promoted to Division 2? We in the USA always appreciate all support to promote cricket in our country"

now what's happened here? du Plessis is caught off a no-ball, or is he? This seemed a harsh call on the bowler at first. Siboto slung down a high full toss and du Plessis top edged to be caught. As he was walking off, the umpires held him back to check the height of the full toss. It looked below waist height to me, but the on-field umpire Murray Brown decides it's a no ball and du Plessis will continue. Or will he? No he won't! The third umpire runs out to change that decision, having decided it was a legal ball. It's all a little confusing, but in the end du Plessis has to go
crunched over mid off! Du Plessis is pressing the accelerator, and he collects his sixth boundary
fifty for du Plessis! He's forward to slap the ball over point, and for the umpteenth time they're back for a second. He reaches the milestone from 37 deliveries, and can you believe this is his first ever T20 in Paarl?
slower ball, just outside off, and du Plessis can't get it past the bowler with an inside edged drive
Mosehle is forward to press the ball into the covers, rushing through for one
Three overs to go, and you've got to think Paarl Rocks have got this one in the bag. Cape Town Blitz' unbeaten run is very almost over
full on off stump, and Mosehle digs it out through mid off to keep the strike
three in a row! "Push it, push it!" was the call from Mosehle after he pushed the ball down to long on, and he and du Plessis did just that to pick up two more
two more! This is excellent running. Mosehle puts bat to ball to place a shot through square leg, and they sprint hard for two more runs
Mosehle walks right across his stumps to upset Phehlukwayo's angles, working the ball through midwicket. Good, hard running brings two more
Phehlukwayo bends his back on this one for a little extra pace, beating the outside edge this time
edged but it falls short of de Kock! Phehlukwayo started with a slower one that kissed the outside edge of Mosehle's drive, but the ball bounced just in front of de Kock and he immediately signaled as such
seaming in to Mosehle, who threads the gap at midwicket for one more
slower ball from Adams, and it's a yorker but du Plessis digs it out through square leg
