Northern Districts 211-9 (B Hatwell 94; T Robin 3-46) lost to Central Districts 212-3 (T Weston 65, K Jordon 49, H Cunliffe 30).

Canterbury 249-7 (S Stewart 92) beat Wellington 188 (S Allen 45, N Whittington 32; S Sowden 5-43).
