Cricket Australia today advised a series of changes to the 2003-04 domestic and international programs, and also confirmed the date for the 2004 Allan Border Medal.
International program
India will take part in an additional tour match as part of its Australian itinerary.
The touring side will take on a Queensland XI in a three-day match at Allan Border Field (29 November - 1 December) in Brisbane.
The scheduling of an extra fixture results in two changes to the tour program in matches featuring India against Victoria and a Prime Minister's XI.
The three-day match between India and Victoria, originally scheduled to start on 27 November in Melbourne, will now start two days earlier (25-27 November).
The limited-over game against a Prime Minister's XI at Manuka Oval in Canberra, originally scheduled for 1 December, will now be played on 28 January.
India's other tour match, a three-day clash against Australia A in Hobart (19-21 December), remains unchanged.
Domestic program
The additional Indian tour match has also seen a change to the 2003-04 Pura Cup program.
The match between the Victorian Bushrangers and the Western Warriors, originally scheduled for 21-24 November, is now scheduled for 19-22 November.
In a separate change to the Pura Cup program, the fixture between the Victorian Bushrangers and the New South Wales Blues, originally scheduled to begin on Thursday 11 December, will now commence on Friday 12 December in Melbourne.
The Allan Border Medal, Australian cricket's black-tie gala event, will be held at the Crown Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne on 12 February 2004.
The Allan Border Medal is awarded to the best-performed Australian player in Test and one-day international cricket over the 12 month period from February 2003 to February 2004.
The official schedule for the national second XI competition, the Cricket Australia Cup, has also been released.
The seven-team competition involves sides from the six states, and a team from the Australian Capital Territory.
The Cricket Australia Cup allows talented players to compete on a national stage and assist in bridging the gap between grade and first-class cricket.
Each team will play each other once, in six four-day matches.
The team which finishes the competition at the top of the table is declared the Cricket Australia Cup winner. Queensland won the 2002-03 Cricket Australia Cup.
The Cricket Australia Cup was formerly known as the ACB Cup.
