Lahore, Nov 25: Five more members have been co-opted to assist
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ad hoc committee chairman Dr Zafar Altaf in
running its affairs. Some more committees have also been constituted.
PCB secretary Shafqat Rana announced here on Thursday that Shariq
Mahmood had been appointed honorary treasurer. Former chairman of the
BCCP probe committee Justice Chaudhary Ejaz Yousuf (Quetta), former Test
wicket-keeper and captain Wasim Bari, former Test opener/wicket-keeper
Col Naushad Ali and Syed Asif Shah would be the new members. He said
that all those five members would also serve as members of the PCB executive
committee. Former Test captain Intikhab Alam has been appointed chairman
of the re-vamped Domestic Tournament Monitoring Committee (DTMC) in
place of Javed Zaman Khan. Former Test paceman Zakir Khan will be
convener of the new committee. Its members are Test player Ijaz Faqih,
Ma'azullah Khan, Shakeel Sheikh and Talaat Masood.
Former Test off-spinner Zulfiqar Ahmad has been appointed chairman of the
committee which will handle the international cricket affairs. Zakir Khan will be
convener of this committee as well. Its members will be Intikhab Alam and the
Test umpire Khalid Aziz.
