Grayson wins Essex player of the month award

The HSBC Player of the Month for July has been awarded to Paul Grayson.

Despite disappointing results for Essex, Paul has scored 386 runs in Championship cricket in the month, including innings of 173 and 149 against Northants.

In the Norwich Union League, Paul has totalled 103 runs and taken a fine haul of seven wickets. Paul will receive the HSBC Player of the Month Award at Sunday's Norwich Union League match against Worcestershire at Chelmsford.
