England seam bowler, Katherine Brunt has had a setback in her rehabilitation whilst recovering from a back injury.
The 21 year-old will remain in England for intensive treatment at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in Loughborough and a decision will be made on Friday as to whether she is fit for the forthcoming ICC Quadrangular Series against India, New Zealand and Australia, starting on February 21 in Chennai, India.
Lynsey Askew is on standby and will join the squad if Brunt is unavailable.
The remainder of the squad fly to Chennai (Madras) on the morning of Tuesday February 13.
Head Coach Richard Bates said: "It's definitely disappointing news for us because Katherine is a key player for England.
"However, we do have quality cover in Lynsey, who is a very capable bowler and was a member of last summer's squad."
