South Africa 12/5 to edge one-day series

Having been touched off at the death in the T20 series, South Africa will again prove very competitive in Australia in ODI cricket and can be backed at 12/5 to edge the five-match series 3-2.

The Proteas have an excellent record in ODIs in Australia - having won 16 and tied one of their 31 matches since readmission. They also won their last ODI series in Australia, in 2009 - one of only two teams to beat Australia at home in their last nine series.

The tourists boast the top two ranked batsman in ODIs - AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla - and also have perhaps the world's leading bowler in Dale Steyn in their ranks. They are a very dangerous side who will enjoy Australian conditions and are 12/5 to claim another famous series win 3-2.
