Under 15 development squad to be formed
The national development committee of the Board of Control for
Cricket in Sri Lanka has made arrangements to select an under 15
development squad. The age of players should be under 15 on or before
January 1, 1983.
The squad will be in charge of national under 15 coach Oshadie
Weerasinghe. He will be assisted by development director Malcolm
Perera.
Trials were held in Kandy on Monday and Tuesday. Trials for the
Dambulla region will take place today and tomorrow.
The rest of the program for trials: Jan. 18-19 : Badulla region at
Badulla Mahavidyalaya, Jan. 21-22: Galle region at Galle Stadium,
Jan. 25-26: Colombo South Outer (Kalutara/Ratnapura) region at
Panadura SC, Jan. 27: Gampaha/Puttalam region at De Mazenod College,
Jan. 28-29: Colombo region at NCC grounds.
Drawn match at Kurunegala

The inter-school cricket encounter between Kalutara Vidyalaya and
Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala ended in a lack-luster draw at
Welagedara Stadium, Kurunegala yesterday.
Scores:
Kalutara MV: 215 for 7 decl. and 75 for 5 at close. (D.Sampath 12,
N.W.Silva 28, P.Ranaweera 12, D.Gunatillake 3 for 34, C. Ranasinghe 2
for 14).
Maliyadeva: 147 (I.Hameem 63, A.Basnayake 26, D.B.Ellepola 27,
M.C.Bandara 12, R.Milroy 5 for 32, S.Geethan 4 for 32).
