An outstanding all-round performance by Shamar Brooks spurred St.
Giles to a crushing victory over St. Christopher in a Piton Malta Herman
Griffith Primary Schools' play-off match at Dover, Christ Church,
yesterday.
Brooks, batting at No. 3, made 38 not out in a St. Giles total of 124 for one
off 25 overs.
The main contributor was opener Roger Williams, who hit an unbeaten 55.
Brooks then returned to capture a hat-trick en route to taking four wickets
without conceding a run.
There were also three wickets each for Errol Clarke and Lamar Olton.
As a result, St. Christopher were bundled out for 29 and lost the match by
95 runs.
In another play-off match at Friendship, All Saints defeated Sharon by four
wickets.
Four-wicket hauls by Brad Lynch and Rasheed Dottin restricted Sharon to
66 and All Saints reached their target for the loss of six wickets.
