Wow. What a way to start the first game of the new festival!

It just goes to show how close things can be in T20 cricket. After Lawlor was run out coming back for the second, the Umpire signalled that he hadn't tapped his back down in the crease at the other end. One short run was the difference in the game

With five overs to go the Knights looked dead and buried, yet both Neil Rock and Ross Adair kept on hitting the ball over the boundary.

Sadly they just couldn't scrape together that final couple of runs. Although it would have been nice to get to that Superover....

William McClintock has just been named player of the match for his excellent fifty in the Warriors Innings. Warriors also pick up four points for the win and are now five point clear at the top of the table.

If every game is as close as this one, we are in for a brilliant weekend. We now have a little break here before the second game of the day, as the Lightning take on the Reds. Hope you join me at 4pm for that one.

Until then, this is Justin Smyth saying goodbye from Bready.

Getkate to Adair, 2 runs, OUT

Adair hits the ball down the ground, Georgeson had been backing up a long way and it's a comfortable two. They have to try for the third run and Doheny takes off the bails. Warriors win by one run!

Ross Adair run out (†Doheny/McBrine) 26 (21m 12b 3x4 1x6) SR: 216.66
Getkate to Adair, FOUR runs

there us another boundary! Inside edge goes down past the keeper and the Knights are only one boundary away now!

8 needed off 2

Getkate to Adair, FOUR runs

it's on legstump, swivels on the back foot and pulls the ball over the top of McBrine at short fine leg

12 needed off three

Getkate to Georgeson, 1 run

hits the ball towards long-on, Hume makes sure that the ball doesn't get past him and rockets the ball back into the bowler

Getkate to Adair, 1 run

clips the ball off the pads, through square leg

Getkate to Adair, 1 wide, OUT

bowls the ball down the legside. Rock sets off for the extra run but Adair isn't moving. Doheny gathers the ball, throws the ball back to the bowler and Getkate takes off the bails. What a horrible way for Rock to go.

Neil Rock run out (†Doheny/Getkate) 45 (60m 30b 0x4 4x6) SR: 150
Getkate to Rock, 1 run

Getkate looks for the yorker, doesn't nail it and it's hit up to long-on. How close wa s that to being called a no-ball for height

Hume to Adair, 1 run

Hume to Adair, 1 wide

too far wide that time outside off

Hume to Adair, no run

full ball, outside off-stump, Adair thinks it's going to be called a wide and doesn't play a shot at the ball

shovels the ball into the legside, to near to the fielder to come back for a second

Hume to Rock, 2 runs

pulls the ball into the legside, comes back quickly for the second
