1.3 to Shubman Gill, oh my goodness - how has Theekshana held onto that?! Fizzed through full on a length outside off and this seems to stop in the surface a shade. Gill, looking to drive down the ground, is early into the stroke and chunks it off the inside half of the bat. The bat turned upon impact too but this is still hit at a fair clip to Theekshana's left. He snaps down low, shows exemplary reflexes and makes it stick with his two-handed attempt. What a catch, and what a way to break this opening stand!. 15/1

16.1 to HH Pandya, this has gone a mile up, and Chameera pulls off a beauty! Hard length on the stumps and this is the sort of ball that has troubled Hardik many a time in the past. He hacks at it and only gets the height he wants. The ball goes straight up and Chameera calls for it early. He tracks it all the way and lunges forward to take it over his shoulder in the mid wicket region. Chameera wanted to take responsibility there, and he did not disappoint!. 162/5
4 | 0 | 37 | 1 | 9.25 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 | 0 | |
6.5 to SA Yadav, Hasaranga is off on a celebrappeal, and the finger goes up! SKY has a chat with Abhishek and then decides to go upstairs! This is zipped in very full on middle stump. SKY looks for the sweep again and plays all around it. Gets pinged on the front boot and this looks like a wasted review. Clear gap between bat and ball, and a gap between the ball and the glove as well, especially when there are murmurs on UltraEdge. Onto Ball Tracking now, and it returns with the ball crashing into off stump. SKY has to go after a scratchy innings, and he takes a review along with him too!. 74/2
2 | 0 | 23 | 1 | 11.50 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1 | |
15.3 to SV Samson, miscued, and taken smartly by Asalanka! Zipped in full on off stump and this seems like a pace-on delivery. Samson looks to go downtown but slices across it a little too much. The ball swirls towards extra cover, where Asalanka back-pedals and then holds onto it over his head. Samson is livid with himself as he walks off, and Sri Lanka finally have their fourth!. 158/4
2 | 0 | 18 | 1 | 9.00 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
8.4 to Abhishek Sharma, holes out to deep mid wicket, and Asalanka gets the big fish! This is a bit of a drag-down, just outside off. But this may have just held in the surface a shade. Abhishek swipes across the line but for a change, miscues it. That brings Kamindu into play and he snares the chance comfortably. Abhishek throws his head back in disappointment, and SL beginning to chip away now!. 92/3 |

0.4 to BKG Mendis, nicked and taken at slip! Mendis departs for a first-ball duck yet again! Back to back golden ducks for Kusal Mendis, and he will not be chuffed about this stroke either. This is hung up on a length wide outside off. Mendis goes feeling for it without any conviction and gets a healthy outside edge that floats through to Gill. Simple catch and Hardik dents this Sri Lankan chase early!. 7/1
4 | 0 | 46 | 1 | 11.50 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 3 | 0 | |
16.4 to PHKD Mendis, this has gone way up, and Kamindu bites the dust! Slower ball on a back of a length just outside off. Kamindu looks for that favoured pick-up pull of his but does not have enough pace to work with. Gets under it completely and the ball hangs in the air for an eternity. Axar settles under it at deep backward square leg and snaffles it up. India turning the screw now!. 163/4
4 | 0 | 54 | 1 | 13.50 | 7 | 6 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
19.1 to P Nissanka, straight to short fine leg, and Harshit Rana roars in delight! Nissanka is distraught, and he cannot believe what has just transpired! Zipped in full on the stumps. Nissanka shuffles across very early and laces his flick. Smashes it straight to Varun, who does really well to get both of his hands up in front of his face. The ball sticks and Nissanka does now know where to look. Nissanka walks off after playing a splendid knock, but someone else will have to take SL past the finish line now!. 191/5

15.1 to KIC Asalanka, skied way up, and Gill pouches it! Kuldeep weaves his magic! Kuldeep throws up the invitation on middle stump and Asalanka chances his luck. Picks the wrong ball to play the slog, though, because this is the one turning away. Has to reach out for it in the end and clinks it off the bottom of the bat. Gill settles under it at long on and makes no mistake. The SL captain is back in the shed, and India will feel they have a slight opportunity again!. 157/3
4 | 0 | 31 | 1 | 7.75 | 8 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
12.2 to MDKJ Perera, stumped by a mile, and Varun breaks this game open! Given a hint of air outside off. Perera cannot resist the temptation to charge and does so. Swings at it wildly and blindly in the end and misses the ball by a fair margin. This was the one spinning away and Samson does the rest behind the stumps. The Indian fans find their voice again, and could this be the window of opportunity India have been after?. 134/2 |

0.1 to MDKJ Perera, Sliced straight to deep point, and this is the worst possible start for Sri Lanka! Speared in full and wide, and this is perfect planning and execution. Perera sits deep in his crease and looks to carve it away. But all he does is find Rinku to perfection. Sri Lanka rocked early, and they are also just one wicket away from being bowled out in the Super Over now!'. 0/1 0.5 to MD Shanaka, No need for a replay this time, and no need for DRS as well! Sprayed across full and wide. Shanaka has no option but to throw his hands at it and slices across it a little too much. Jitesh Sharma at deep backward point runs in and does the rest. Shanaka has been dismissed finally, and Sri Lanka have been rolled over for a couple of runs!. 2/2 |
