Neil Fairbrother does not want to play any more club cricket in Dhaka.
The bespectacled left-hander who helped Abahani Krira Chakra win the
Premier league along with his former England team-mate Richard
Illingworth way back in 1994-95 season is the only player in the
14-man England team who has the experience of playing local cricket
in Dhaka.
Talking to The Daily Star at the hotel lobby immediately after the
England team's arrival at Sonargaon, he said that although the
English season was over he wants to spend more time with his two kids
during the winter.
"I don't need money nowadays because sponsors have solved that
problem for me," said a smiling Fairbrother, whose swashbuckling 94
against Mohammedan Sporting Club four years back is still one of the
best individual innings that the Dhaka crowd has seen.
