Karachi, Oct 1: The selectors have submitted teams for the warm-up and
first-class matches against England in the forthcoming series.
According to informed sources, the teams for two one-dayers and three
first-class games scheduled for Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Lahore were
recently submitted to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief.
The one-dayers will be played in Karachi on Oct 20 and 22. The opening
game of the three-match one-day international series will be played
here on Oct 24.
The sources added that the selectors have recommended Abdur Razzaq and
Azhar Mahmood as captains of teams for the one-dayers. However, their
appointments would depend on how the team performs in Kenya.
"If Pakistan qualify for the final, the two would not be included in
the warm-up games because there is a gap of just nine days between the
final (in Kenya) and first one-dayer."
Youngsters like Naumanullah, Bazid Khan, Danish Kaneria, Faisal Iqbal,
Hasan Raza, Shahid Afridi, Atiq-uz-Zaman, Javed Qadeer, Shoaib Malik,

Khan, Shahid Nazir, Mohammad Shafiq, Humayun Farhat, Qaisar Abbas etc
have been picked for the games.
