Worcestershire's relegation to Division Two in the County Championship was confirmed when Surrey completed their victory over Hampshire at The Rose Bowl.
They can no longer catch anyone except Kent in eighth place so are certain to go back down the season after winning promotion.
The club effectively admitted relegation when the summer floods hit New Road and led to two Championship matches being abandoned. However, they are in with a good chance of claiming some silverware, currently leading Pro40 Division One.
