Tasmania's Sheffield Shield pacesetter Jake Weatherald blazed another big century to put the heat on Victoria ahead of a final-day run chase in Hobart.
The hosts began their second innings 22 runs behind Victoria, but the former South Australian opener turned the tables with a blazing 155 off 212 balls on Monday as Tasmania made 291.

New Zealand have qualified for the Pakistan Tri-Nation Series final after completing the third-highest successful chase in Lahore to beat an under-strength South Africa by six wickets. The result means the next match, between Pakistan and South Africa in Karachi on Wednesday, is a knockout.
Kane Williamson and Devon Conway, both back in New Zealand's ODI squad for the first time since the 2023 World Cup, scored 133 not out and 97 respectively and shared in a record partnership for New Zealand against South Africa (187). Conway's score was the first time he crossed fifty since the opening match of the 2023 World Cup, 11 innings ago. Williamson's century was his first in 22 innings, dating back to his 148 against West Indies in Manchester in the 2019 World Cup. It was also Williamson's second fastest ODI hundred, off 72 balls. Between them, the pair eclipsed a remarkable achievement by Matthew Breetzke, who became the player with the highest individual score on ODI debut - 150 - and the fourth South African to score a century in his first match.

Rovman Powell made the most of a second life gifted to him by Azam Khan to power Dubai Capitals to their maiden ILT20 title as they beat Desert Vipers in the thrilling final.
Capitals conceded 189, when they were in a position restrict Vipers to a lower total and were then 31 for 3 after five overs in the chase. That could have been 46 for 4, but a wicketkeeping error from Azam was punished in full by Powell, who hammered 63 off 38, to help Capitals pull off a four-wicket win. Shai Hope and Sikandar Raza also played key roles in the stiff chase as Capitals registered their fourth win against Vipers in the season.

Ireland were made to feel at home in Bulawayo, albeit in a slightly devious sense as rain washed out large chunks before bad light ended day four. But by taking four wickets in the 53 overs spread across two sessions, the visitors will come out as favourites on the final day. However, the grim forecast for day five could deny Ireland a win.
Hope isn't lost completely for Zimbabwe, even though they need another 109 with three wickets in hand. Wessly Madhevere, their top scorer, is unbeaten on 61. And as they showed in the first innings, their lower order can make handy contributions.

A patient Sam Konstas was dismissed for just three before his New South Wales captain Jack Edwards launched a stirring fightback in the Sheffield Shield clash with Queensland at the Gabba.
Queensland started day two well placed at 307 for 5, but lost wickets at regular intervals to be bowled out for 387.

Paceman Nathan McAndrew took a remarkable 7 for 11 to lead South Australia to a crushing six-wicket Sheffield Shield win over defending champions Western Australia at the WACA Ground.
A whopping 20 wickets fell on the opening day on Saturday, with WA skittled for 120 before SA were dismissed for 124. There was even more carnage on Sunday, with Western Australia slumping to 13 for 5 before being rolled for 66 within the space of a session.
