London Spirit 153 for 4 (Knight 65*, Redmayne 45) beat Southern Brave 151 for 6 (Wyatt 59, Burns 2-6) by six wickets Heather Knight produced a batting masterclass as London Spirit shocked reigning champions Southern Brave in a thrilling contest in The Hundred at Utilita Bowl.
Chasing 152 for victory, the England captain made an unbeaten 65 from 31 balls to steer her team to a six-wicket victory with three deliveries to spare, inflicting only a second-ever home defeat on Brave.
The hosts looked on course for victory after Danni Wyatt had struck 59 from 35 balls, in the process surpassing Sophia Dunkley to become The Hundred's all-time leading run-scorer.

Ed Barnard continued his summer love affair with the Cloud County Ground, Chelmsford, by hammering his highest score in List A cricket.
Warwickshire's Metro Bank One-Day Cup captain followed up his personal-best 165 in the Vitality Championship reverse in May by carrying his bat with a 140-ball 173 to underpin a seven-wicket victory over Essex. Barnard, whose previous best was 161, was ably assisted in match-defining stands by Rob Yates, Will Rhodes and Michael Burgess as last year's semi-finalists eased home with 14 balls to spare.

Centurions Ed Pollock and Gareth Roderick rewrote the record books in spectacular style for Worcestershire during their 183-run Metro Bank One Day Cup triumph over Middlesex at New Road.
The opening pair smashed 259 off just 35.2 overs, Worcestershire's highest first wicket List A partnership, in a total of 371 for 3 from 48 overs. Their stand surpassed by the 243 made by Brett D'Oliveira and Jack Haynes against Essex at Chelmsford three years ago.

A sparkling 71 from Paige Scholfield took Oval Invincibles to a domineering 45-run victory against Birmingham Phoenix in the first game of the fourth year of the Hundred.
In front of 10,249 fans, the two-time champions Oval Invincibles batted first and the 28-year-old Scholfield - enjoying a new role at the top of the order in the absence of Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu - found admirable company in England's young superstar Alice Capsey, who herself made 52.

Shafali Verma's career-best 81 and a disciplined bowling effort propelled India into the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 with an 82-run win over Nepal. With three wins from three games, India topped Group A. Pakistan, who defeated UAE earlier in the afternoon, were the second team to advance to the knockouts, with two wins out of three.
Opting to bat first, the Smriti Mandhana-led India posted 178 for 3 thanks to Shafali's breezy knock and a solid opening stand with D Hemalatha. It was an uphill task for Nepal, who don't play under lights and, against an in-form bowling attack, they could only manage 96 for 9 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh ended their ten-match losing streak in T20Is and collected their first points in Women's Asia Cup 2024. They bounced back from the opening game defeat to Sri Lanka with a convincing seven-wicket victory over Thailand in Dambulla to keep their hopes for a semi-final spot alive.
Legspinner Rabeya Khan's four-wicket haul and seam-bowling allrounder Ritu Moni's two scalps helped Bangladesh restrict Thailand to a below-par 96 for 9 on a spin-friendly surface. Nattaya Boochatham top-scored for Thailand with a 41-ball 40. In reply, Murshida Khatun, after missing the previous game, scored 50 off 55 balls to take Bangladesh home in 17.3 overs.
