and another full toss, Franklin finds the gap on the leg side towards the midwicket boundary and seals the win with a four
Northern Dis vs Tridents, 20th Match, Group B at Bengaluru, Sep 30 2014 - Match Result
Tridents won by 6 wickets (with 2 balls remaining) (D/L method)

Time for the presentation:
Rayad Emrit: Overwhelmed to win a game finally, we came close to winning a game several times. Today was a totally different team from our previous matches. We had a chat before the match today. We knew if Franklin and Elton stayed till the end we would chase it. Out fielding let us down in ever single game.
James Franklin is the Man of the Match: Pretty tough couple of weeks for the team, not getting the right results so nice to get across the line tonight. I obviously played a lot with the Northern Districts guys so there is familiarity.
And that's all we have from this game, and the league stage. Join us for the two semi-finals on Thursday after a day's gap. Till then it's goodbye and good luck from Vishal Dikshit. Ciao!
12.32am So Barbados Tridents finally register a win before leaving the country. Even though the target of 138 was not very steep, Scott Styris and Ish Sodhi made sure the match went to the last over. Tridents lost three wickets before reaching 50 but Jonathan Carter and James Franklin made sure only one more wicket fell before Franklin hit 11 in the last over.
Daniel Fynn: We were probably 15-20 light, we bowled reasonably well. It's very disappointing because we had high hopes after a strong start in the tournament.
Jonathan Carter: We are elated, we stuck as a group. We are one big family so we'll celebrate tonight. I wanted to finish the game and I should have carried on. I spoke to Mr Haynes a lot, and worked on my game and grabbed the opportunity with both hands here.
Tom: "Franklin is my man of the match"
another full toss on the leg side, he swats it down to fine leg for one
Five from four now
short of length delivery, Franklin taps it with soft hands for one on the off side
full toss, it's gone high and oh, it's gone all the way! It didn't look like Franklin had middle it bu the ball went high and eventually cleared the straight boundary for six
Six balls. 12 runs. (11 for Super Over). Tim Southee has an over left
full and wide to end the over and it's just inside the line
another four from Chiggy! Short of length again, he picked it up early and pulled it with some power to the midwicket boundary where the fielder dived and tried his best but could not stop it
fuller and wider with the angle, the batsman slashes and misses and it's not called a wide
slow and short of length outside off, pulled to the leg side and they settle for one
short of length around off, he runs it down to third man for one
full and wide, and Chiggy smashes it over cover for a clean four! It was a hard strike and powerful to beat any and every fielder
Only five runs from the bat in that over. Can Tridents score 22 from two overs?
full on the pads, he lofts it down the ground to long-on for one
wide outside off this time, Elton cuts it late, but straight to short third man
rolled his fingers over this one, shorter from outside leg and he doesn't get a run down leg off the bat
full and on the pads, flicked away on the leg side for two more
bouncer on the leg side but that's a wide for the width
slower length delivery on the leg side, tapped towards deep midwicket with soft hands for two
this one's a wide as it's wider and the batsman lets it go
full outside leg and that goes to the keeper off the pad
Tim Southee is back, from round the wicket
Devendra: "is it just me or can i hear an echo in that stadium - it must be nearly empty!"
Sodhi finishes with 3 for 18 from his four overs. Tridents now need 29 from 18
flighted and well outside off, driven with the turn to sweeper cover for one
Govind: "What a fielding effort... can't believe it..."
he charges down to take the delivery on the full and drives it through the covers for two
