That's it for now. A rare day with two non-close games have been played. Maybe even the tournament needs a break after having provided cliffhangers almost on demand and by default. So the scheduled day-off comes at a good time, live action will return from day after tomorrow. A few comments will be posted below. On behalf of my fellow commentator, Hemant Brar, and our scorer, Ranjith P, this is Ekanth signing off. Take care.

CJenR: "How do they pick Player of the match? Though Yastika's 50 led us to the score of above 200. Sneh Rana's cameo in the end with bat 27(23) " I'm assuming because Yastika played through after the loss of three back-to-back wickets. But Sneh was a great candidate and would have been my pick as well.

Sunit: "High probability 4 teams ending up 8 points each"

Ram: "India need only one favourable result of WI losing to SA. nrr between India and NZ is too big for NZ finish above India " And beating South Africa in their next game. Not sure what the permutations are but today's win helps.

Mukunth: "Guess the equation is a bit simple now. If SA defeat WI and India, India will still qualify unless they lose by about 100 runs or so. If WI beats SA, the equation gets a bit complex."

Waseem Raja: "its been more than 15 yrs may be 20 that I am following cricinfo but they never published my comments and even Mr. Steve Lynch never bother to answer my valid questions. I dont know why cricinfo did this to me." Must be bad luck.

Lucky: "Is Gayakwad's bowling figures the most economical 10 overs ever?" No

8:36 pm: A clinical performance from India with the ball earns them a much needed big win. Starting with spin on one end proved effective as prodigious spin was found. The wickets fell in clusters and Bangladesh could not get back. Murshida Khatun tried to stay in but wickets in the other end tied her up as well. Rearguard action from Lata Mandal and Salma Khatun delayed the inevitable as Sneh Rana and co cleared up the innings.
