chips it to mid-off and that's the end of it. Six for Herath and Sri Lanka take a 1-0 lead in the series. Flighted and drifting in from outside off. Given the drift, he cannot make good connection and he was also not to the pitch of the ball. Harmlessly sends it into the hands of mid-off and that will be it

Atiq: "@Saith Condition is different though Australia is doing fine in India."
Rangana Herath I would say kind of a big achievement, but I must thank every single person who ha supported me - the support staff, my family - I want to say thank you to all of them. The pitch still looks like a good batting track. we have no worries about the combination, but there are still areas to improve. Everybody chipped in and I must congratulate everyone because it is a team effort.
Mushfiqur Rahim - I thought the wicket is still pretty good to bat, it does not look like a day five wicket. We conceded a big lead, but I thought the bowlers did still a pretty okay job. It came down to how we batted on the final day and the first session was going to be crucial, but we unfortunately lost wickets. Hopefully, we can bounce back in the next Test. Congratulations to Rangana and the rest of the team. If the bowlers bowl in the right areas, there is something and hopefully, we will come out with better plans in the next Test.
Mendis I am extremely happy about the achievement and thank Rangana Herath and the rest of the team for the support. And very happy Sri Lanka won the match.
Kusal Mendis in the Man of the Match for his first-innings 194.
Time for the presentation ceremony. Roshan Abeysinghe to do the honours.
1.30pm The end was swift after the lunch break. Two hours of the morning session yielded five wickets, but the last five took less than an hour of the second session to fall. Sri Lanka maintain their stronghold over Galle with another dominant win. Remember, no team has successfully chased more than 99 at this ground. Double delight for Sri Lanka with the win and their captain establishing himself as the most successful left-arm spinner in Test cricket ever. That's a proud achievement. Herath found himself on the benches for large parts of his younger days with Muralitharan weaving his magic around the opposition batsmen. But since his retirement, how he has made up for lost time. Familiar issues for Bangladesh with collapses in the second innings and lack of application in batting out the last day. Bear in mind this was still a pretty good strip to bat on. Barring the odd ball, no spitting turn or bounce. But they had no clue about which way some of the balls would turn and ended up making a mess. We will have the presentations with you shortly.
Sajith Nizam : "@Athiq conditions are not much different in Bangladesh and Srilanka. You can't compare Australia and Bangladesh when they play away from home. Asian pitches and weather both are completely different from Australia to Srilanka."
Asif: ""Any chance of rain buddy?"" Doesn't matter, buddy. Game over :)
Atiq: "In their last home series Sri Lanka whitewashed Australia. Out of six innings Australia played, four of them are below 200. Another one is 203. And the remaining one is 379. Every cricket nation nowadays become superpower in their home condition, so does Sri Lanka. Considering this Bangladesh performance is not that bad in this test match. But, yes they need to improve a lot and I think they are in right track. "
comes forward and defends to covers
and he survives the one ball. Pushed to silly point from the crease who collects it and throws it back to the keeper
saadat: "@Das Domestic cricket not best in Bangladesh no doubt. But guys like Shakib, Mahmudullah, Tamim do not appear there long enough. Liton and Mehedi are ok...they got runs playing domestic cricket and showing capability here."
tucked off the pads between midwicket and square leg and just one ball for the tailender to survive
keeps it out into the off side from the crease
drifting away outside off and he looks for an almighty drive but the ball spins in to beat the bat and that's a good stop from the keeper
defended to the left of the bowler from the crease
stays in the crease and defends down the pitch
tucked off the pads to the left of square leg, gets it between him and the midwicket fielder for a good single. Will keep the strike.
Field comes in to prevent the single
defends it off the front foot and the ball takes late turn to go off the outside edge towards the cordon
defended off the inside part of the blade to short leg
Sud: "4 tests on the trot - 2nd innings collapses for B'desh. And in all these 4 innings, Mushfiqur has failed to contribute. Since the batting heavily revolves around him, he must probably alter his batting position at least for the 2nd innings."
pitched up wider outside off and it is crunched out to sweeper cover. Does not take the single again
shuffles across and defends down the pitch off the backfoot
driven out to sweeper cover
was that a drop? Did it carry? Very, very tough chance, though. Subashis was forward defending and gets a thick inside edge that flies to the left of short leg who gets down but the ball is coming to him real quick and he cannot hold on to it. Great effort
defended from the crease into the off side
Das: "Well, it all comes to the dead pitches in BD domestic cricket. Many players are scoring double centuries frequently. Bangladesh must make those pitches hard enough so that players will learn to show some resistance. "
whipped away off the backfoot to mid-on who is slightly deep
plats the front foot right across and defends
comes on to the front foot and defends to mid-off
stays back to this length ball and defends it down the pitch
