Barbados: Ninth round ends today
The Barbados Nation
Weather permitting
Persistent showers yesterday have opened the floodgates for some
teams on today's final day of the ninth round of Courts/Suzuki
Division 1 cricket matches.
If the rain eases off and allows play, leaders Police look
certain to topple Sports & Games YMPC and maintain the top spot.
YMPC are 50 for three in their second innings, still five runs
away from making the lawmen bat a second time, and Police will
be gunning for the win.
Second-placed Cable & Wireless BET are also in a good position
against Mount Gay Maple at Trents. BET are expected to declared
with 260 on the board and this would be a mountain for lowly
Maple - even on a good wicket.
Defending champs BNB St. Catherine are another side looking for
victory against CHIC Schools South at Bayfield and they, like
the other teams, will hope the rains stay away and allow play
today.
