I-T appraisal report on raids by next month
The Income-tax authorities, who conducted 'Operation Gentleman' on July 20-21, are expecting to complete their 'appraisal report' by next month. The raids were conducted on players, officials and bookies at different locations all over the country. I-T sources said "the report was being compiled after recording statements from all those raided," quotes PTI.
The sources said several top cricketers and bookies were questioned by the department's officials on the documents seized during the raids. On completion of the report, notices would be sent to individuals to file their block returns. The players, officials and bookies would also be given time to send in their reply.
