Harmanpreet clears the game and earns India an unassailable 2-0 lead with yet another sweep! It was on a length well outside off, she shuffled across and lofted it behind square. There was no one in the deep.
SL Women vs IND Women, 2nd T20I at Dambulla, IND-W in SL, Jun 25 2022 - Ball by Ball Commentary

Thank you for joining us. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. It's goodbye from me, Ekanth, on behalf of my fellow commentator, Vishal Dikshit, and our scorer, Ranjith P.
After a hard-fought win, India seal the series with their second victory. Sri Lanka's start was much more promising with a big stand up-top. But not finding quick runs later continued to trouble them. It wasn't for a lack of trying, the pitch did slow down, the batters couldn't connect with the big shots, Kaur bringing herself on helped. In the second innings, the tide in the first-half seemed to flow to the opposite currents as India got a good start but stumbled again. But they had bought time, which they used with limited risk to get through to the win.
Harmanpreet Kaur, India Captain and POTM for 31* and 1 for 12: Happy, hitting runs always feels good. I'm happy that we batted well on a slow and turning track. We found singles and played like we wouldn't lose a wicket. Them playing well is a part of the game, they can give a hard time. I felt the pitch will slow down as the game went along and I'm happy that things went accordingly.
Chamari Athapaththu, Sri Lanka Captain: We batted really well, but we did not play at our best in the last 6 overs. We were 15 short. Harman and Smriti also batted well. Vishmi is young and played well, they don't have much experience but will hopefully improve.
NK: "3 of 5 Indian wickets stumped" Should have been a couple of run outs too.
5:04 pm: Handshakes all around. The players look in good spirit. The chase started well with Shafali and Meghana providing quick runs up top, Mandhana was stable. But after the tenth over, the breaks were applied by wickets from Oshadi, Ranaweera, and Sugandika. After Jemimah went early, it looked like there would be no further boundaries in the game. The bowlers hit lengths well but the fielding and India's iffy running meant the tug-of-control continued. Yastika and Kaur tried to steer India with ones and twos, the earlier batters had added a cushion which they could use. Eventually, they made it with five balls to go.
3 needed off the last over
Sanjay Sharma: "Why wasnt Sneh Rana chosen in the squad?" She's been rested.
Full on the legs, tries the slog sweep and misses. There's a big appeal but it's turned down.
Skand: "Last boundary came 8 overs ago. " Yeah, 10.1 it looks like.
Full just outside off, swept to deep-midwicket.
Full on the stumps, clipped to midwicket.
With that India need just 5 off 9.
Length on the stumps, nudged to deep midwicket. It was played slow, they scamper for two, the throw was over the keeper's head which meant the run out was missed.
Length outside off, dabbed to third man
Nurdles a length ball to short fine leg
Harmanpreet is now India's leading scorer in T20Is, having gone past Mithali Raj
Full on the stumps, swept to deep-midwicket.
Another mix-up but ends safely. It was on a length on the stumps, clipped in front of square on the backfoot. Harmanpreet was halfway down when she was sent back, the fielder threw it to the keeper but it was a tad too late.
Around
Another sweep, this was full and on the stumps. Goes to deep square leg.
Full on off, clips the flighted ball to deep-midwicket to get off the mark.
NK: "Less than a run a ball and yet so gripping"
Stumped after a wily Oshadi hid the ball wide after Yastika danced down the track! It was full and flighted well outside off, Yastika tried to slap it over the off side but missed it. The keeper didn't and celebrated entusiastically.
That was the quintessential comedy of errors. It was a full ball, swept to deep square leg. There was a mix-up during the second run, the non-striker ran three-fourth the way and was sent back. The throw was mid-wicket and the bowler could not reach it. The fielder backing up threw it hard to the bowler's end, it yorked the stumps but Yastika looks to have gone just past the crease. The third umpire has a look at a few replays and gives it not out. But after that, it went to the deep, the fielder had to run to her right which allowed the third run.
Tossed up on a good length, beats the slog sweep and hits her in the flank. It came in with the angle and Kaur was on one knee as she went for the shot. It looked to have bounced more which helped beat the bat but not with the LBW appeal.
Goes back to a length ball and tucks it late to the right of the bowler.
Full outside off, slapped to long-off
Sweeps a full ball to deep-midwicket
Comes down the track but the back of length ball is a bit too short for the clip across the line. Beats her, hits the pad and falls in front.
Full on leg, clipped to square leg.
Ashish: "Are India slowing down. This might look easy as the RRR suggest under 5. But its 24 of 29. A wicket here and few dots will make it tougher for them. Why teams like taking this deep I don't understand. Just kill the chase if you get a chance." The loss of wickets is the reason here.
Full on the stumps is met with a predictable sweep from Kaur, shoots through square leg, the fielder in the deep runs to her left and cuts it off.
