WEST INDIES fast bowler Curtly Ambrose last night brushed aside
a late CANA report which said he was about to retire from
international cricket and would miss the upcoming Test and
One-Day series against England unless regional officials got him
to change his mind.
ÒIf I have anything to say about retirement or anything... I
will deal with the West Indies Board straight up,Ó he told the
DAILY NATION.
Ambrose was speaking from his room at Caribbee Hotel where the
Leewards were staying for the PresidentÕs Cup match against
Barbados. The story said Ambrose had already written his
retirement letter and requested that his decision be
communicated to the West Indies selectors.
