5:10pm A better batting display by India, in comparison to the first ODI, but most of the old problems persisted. Mandhana, though, batted like a dream, registering the second-fastest hundred by an Indian in women's ODIs, and putting the Aussie bowlers to the sword. Support, though, was tougher to find, with none of the other batters really capitalizing on their starts. There were cameos but the lack of a sustained hand means India fall short of the 300-run mark again, despite putting up their highest-ever total against Australia in the format.

Australia will be content with their bowling exploits. Gardner, handed the new ball, was the pick of the bunch, with Brown also producing a strong comeback towards the end. Wareham was a little off colour, as were Perry and King, but Australia, by virtue of having eight very good frontline options, were able to tide over it. They will be confident of chasing this down, but will also know that they will have to bat as well as they did a couple of nights ago. Sudarshanan will be back in a bit to kick off the chase!

Schutt to Rana, OUT

well, not anymore! India bowled out for 292 with a ball left! Another neat leg-cutter, this time hung up full and wide. Rana walks across, trying to go down the ground but cuts across it too much. The ball slices up towards short third and Brown does the rest to close out the innings. Schutt on the board too, and India finish with 11 more than they did on Sunday!

safe, on two counts! Leg-cutter on a back of a length on off. Rana backs away and muscles it just over the fielder at mid off. Renuka has no option but to chance her luck on the second and could be in trouble because Sutherland has hit the stumps at the bowler's end. The replays come up and Renuka has made it. Just.

that is a terrific shot! Attempted yorker outside off but Sutherland misses it on the shorter side. Not by much but by enough. Rana backs away and scorches it through point!

Australia have been penalized for a slow over-rate and they can now have just three fielders outside the ring for the remaining overs

Schutt to Goud, OUT

is that another run out?! Looks like it is! Short and wide outside off. Goud waits on it and slaps it towards extra cover. Sets off for the single, only to then indulge in a game of yes and no with her partner. She gets sent back eventually and despite stretching, she is caught just short as Healy whips off the bails. More sharp work by Australia in the field, more uninspiring running between the wickets from India!
