The battle for the top spot is intensifying. Day five of the World Twenty20 sees Sambit Bal at No. 1 in the Star Wars league, but just 96 points separates the top three.
The Bangladesh-Ireland game was a good one for Sambit. He racked up 91 points from that one - a game that Ian Chappell didn't have any players featuring in. The match between Sri Lanka and Australia was a low-scoring one for both Ian and Sambit. Ian's trump David Warner got out for a duck, Shane Watson fetched just four points, and Farveez Maharoof didn't play. The only redeeming factor was Mitchell Johnson, who gave Ian 72. Sambit too had Warner and Watson, and he also got 34 points from Sanath Jayasuriya.
The only one to get some points of note from the Australia-Sri Lanka game was David Lloyd, who had Tillakaratne Dilshan as trump. Dilshan fetched David 196 points, and he is now at No. 4 with 779 points.
