The rain that interrupted the first day's play at Trent Bridge has knocked the odds for six with the draw now a strong favourite at 11/10 (2.10). A dodgy forecast has left the possibility of uninterrupted play an outside chance and while the first three Tests has shown that these two don't need the full five days to produce a result, they have both drifted. Australia, who began as favourites, are now the same price as England, at 11/5 (3.40).
England will resume on 229-4 after an even first day's play and bet365 make it 5/6 (1.83) that they get past 420. That's a tough task as most of the batsmen are back in the pavillion, though Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff may have something to say about that. It's the same price that they fail to make 420.
bet365 are pitching Flintoff's likely score at around the half-century mark. It's 5/6 (1.83) that he makes 51 or better and the same price that he falls for 50 or less. Flintoff has eight so far. Pietersen, unbeaten on 33, is 5/6 (1.83) to get 76 or more, and the same price to fall for 75 or less.
Flintoff is 7/2 (4.50) to score a century, while Pietersen is just 13/8 (2.62) to reach his first century in only his fourth Test match.
